RTF is one of Olympic Sports working federations in Rwanda under Rwanda National Olympic and Sports committee as well as Ministry of Sports and Culture. It has been established in on 29 December 2010.

Kyorugi National Team is a team that compete is sparring competitions; it is composed of other different categories, which are in both male and female. This is the major team because it is the one that takes the discipline, which is competed in Olympic Games. (Kyorugi/Sparring is the discipline of Taekwondo competed in Olympic Games)

A Team to participate in a completion there is no fixed number, depending on different factors such as finance and number of best well prepared athletes, a certain number forming a team participate in competitions.
