Rwanda bids to host African Taekwondo Championships 2022
RWANDA TAEKWONDO FEDERATION has applied to host African Taekwondo Championships 2022. The development was confirmed by its elected president, Dr David HAKIZIMANA in his first remarks addressed to the General Assembly on Saturday 27th November 2021.
“We have sent our request to the Africa Taekwondo Union, we want to host African Taekwondo Championships 2022 because we have all the requirements, and hopefully we will win the bid and host the Championships between July and September,” said Dr David HAKIZIMANA.
If Rwanda wins the bid, it will be the first East African and Sub-Sahara country to host such a milestone which will be combined in two events, such as Poomsae and Kyorugi.
This comes after Mr Bagabo Placide has been elected to become Executive Council Member of Africa Taekwondo Union in election held on 10th October 2021.
